The more you give, the more you gain.
Creativity and vision allow me to see beyond today’s challenges, while coaching and teaching keep me grounded in the responsibility to grow others. Above all, humility reminds me that leadership is not about being ahead, but about lifting others along the way.
You are rich not when you accumulate more, but when your life becomes useful to others. True wealth is found in the ability to share knowledge, open doors, and leave people better than you found them.
Experience has taught me that true leadership is forged not in comfort, but in responsibility, when decisions matter, when people depend on you, and when integrity must stand firm under pressure.
Every challenge becomes meaningful when it is approached with the intention to protect, empower, and inspire others. In this space, leadership evolves from authority into service, and impact is measured by trust, consistency, and the courage to do what is right, even when no one is watching.
When success is measured by how many lives you influence positively, giving becomes a way of living, and legacy becomes inevitable.
The journey is not defined by titles or milestones, but by the lives we touch along the way.

My professional growth began early in my career within the oil and gas industry through hands-on involvement in seismic, drilling, and engineering operations, forming a strong technical foundation for future leadership roles.
Over time, I gained extensive exposure to advanced oil and gas technologies, including the development of new Ocean-Bottom Node (OBN) concepts for both shallow and deep water environments, Q-Technology, Q-FIN, and the Software Trilogy.
I also worked with steerable streamers for marine acquisition, wide-azimuth multi-vessel exploration, and BroadSeis and BroadSource seismic technologies, and contributed to the development of Schlumberger’s Intouch Engineering project, strengthening my capability to integrate innovation, engineering excellence, and safe operational execution across complex oil and gas and drilling projects.
After eight intense and formative years as a field oil and gas engineer, I chose to redefine my career path with clarity and conviction by moving into Health, Safety, and Environment. This transition marked a shift from solely delivering projects to safeguarding lives.
I discovered that HSE offered a powerful platform to transform experience into impact, allowing me to inspire others, share hard earned field knowledge, and build a culture where safety is not just a requirement, but a shared value, a collective responsibility, and a matter of accountability at every level of the organization.

Project successes include contributing to the Northern Hemisphere world-record 3D seismic oil and gas exploration in 2016, achieving water depth records at Anadarko’s deepest commercial field at 2,731 meters in 2008, and delivering the deepest well in the Gulf of Mexico for Chevron’s Toledo Project at 3,051 meters in 2010.
In addition, I have been involved in the successful execution of three of the largest power plant construction and engineering projects in Indonesia, demonstrating consistent capability in managing complex, high-risk, and large-scale energy developments.

Beyond my professional life, I have explored some of the world’s most iconic mountain ranges, including Mont Blanc, the Everest region, Mount Kinabalu, Mount Fuji, Mount Rinjani, and the European Alps. My passion for adventure has also taken me to Mount Kilimanjaro (Africa), Mount Elbrus (Europe), and Aconcagua (South America), where each ascent reinforced resilience, humility, and a deeper appreciation for nature’s power and diversity.
These experiences continually reinforce my respect for risk management, preparation, and nature, reminding me that sound decisions, situational awareness, and teamwork are essential not only in extreme environments, but also in leadership and life.

I find balance by pursuing creative interests such as photography and programming, which allow me to unwind, reflect, and express myself beyond the boundaries of my professional role.
I also enjoy staying active through hiking, high-altitude trekking, and swimming, activities that keep me grounded, build endurance, and sharpen my focus, while reminding me of the importance of adaptability in both life and work.

Engage in continuous learning and exploring geomatic topics. I've been lucky that my work has allowed me to see many important surveys in the oil and gas industry, offshore life and seismic worldwide.
Lifelong learning is the quiet commitment to remain humble in the face of experience and curious in the face of change. It is the understanding that growth does not end with titles or achievements, but continues through listening, unlearning, and adapting.

A passionate city enthusiast, I am deeply involved in civic innovation, community development, and professional networks, particularly in Bandung, a city that inspires creativity and progress.
Through various roles and initiatives, I actively contribute to urban sustainability, creative movements, and meaningful civic engagement, believing that strong cities are built not only by infrastructure, but by people who care, collaborate, and take responsibility for shaping a better urban future.
I believe that a city becomes truly alive when its people choose to participate rather than observe. Every small act of involvement, sharing ideas, mentoring others, or building collaborative spaces—creates momentum for change. By nurturing trust, inclusivity, and shared ownership, urban communities can evolve into platforms of opportunity where innovation thrives and future generations are empowered to lead with purpose, resilience, and responsibility.

In addition to adventure, I have a deep passion for urban farming and gardening. I am the founder of an Urban Farmers Community in Bandung, actively promoting sustainable living and food resilience in urban environments.
I actively enjoy teaching and mentoring, whether to children within the wider community or to individuals seeking to develop more professional skills. This includes sharing practical knowledge in photography, farming, and urban agriculture, as well as providing insight into the oil and gas industry and HSE practices.
I am also an active member and advocate of the Indonesia Berkebun movement, practicing environmentally responsible gardening by cultivating plants and food crops at my own home. Through these activities, I strive to contribute positively to environmental awareness, community empowerment, and a more sustainable future.
